For two days, on May 5-6, 2021, the International Research and Training Conference \u201cEuropean Standards for Diagnosis and Treatment of the Most Common Children Diseases<\/strong>\u201d was held at I.\u00a0Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Halyna Pavlyshyn<\/strong>, the Head of the Department of Pediatrics No.2 welcomed the participants: \u201cOur conference, with the kind consent of Professor\u00a0Artur Mazur\u00a0<\/strong>(University of Rzesz\u00f3w), has already become a traditional Ukrainian-Polish scientific tandem, which has been held in May for several years already. This year the conference is held in a special \u2013 Easter period, during the greatest Christian holiday of Resurrection of the Lord, the Feast of the Victory of Life over Death. Despite the pandemic, limitated communication, during this period all living Nature, People are filled with a special gift of Grace, Love, Peace, which they share with others, and thus, are filled, enriched and multiplied with Joy. And today, with Love and Joy, we will share with you some information, knowledge, experience, current approaches to diagnosis and treatment of paediatric pathologies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Ivan Klishch<\/strong>, the Vice-Rector for Research, also delivered a welcome speech. He congratulated the participants on behalf of the TNMU Rector Professor\u00a0Mykhaylo Korda<\/strong>\u00a0and wished success and fruitful work during the scientific meeting.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Stepan Zaporozhan<\/strong>, the Vice-Rector for Science, Education and Clinical Affairs greeted the participants and guests of the conference as well.<\/p>\n

Stepan Yosypovych<\/strong>\u00a0thanked the conference organizers and Professor\u00a0Artur Mazur<\/strong>\u00a0from the University of Rzeszow for cooperation, sharing information and experience, and wished the scientists productive work, positive emotions during communication with colleagues.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Ivan Smiyan<\/strong>, the Coryphaeus of Paediatrics and Paediatric School, the Spiritual Father of Paediatricians of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the third rector of TNMU, long-time head of the Department of Paediatrics greeted the medical community of Ukraine and the conference participants.<\/p>\n

Valentyna Sum<\/strong>, the expert of the Department of Health in Paediatrics of the Ternopil Regional State Administration, welcomed the participants and wished good health and success in research.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The aim of the scientific forum is to expand knowledge and develop skills of the specialists providing medical care to children, as well as diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the most common pathologies in children and adolescents, and sharing experience with foreign colleagues from Poland: leading experts in neonatology, paediatrics, paediatric endocrinology. The scientists from the University of Rzesz\u00f3w: Professor Artur Mazur, Professor Radoslaw Chaber, Professor Jacek Tabarkiewicz; the University of Warsaw: Professor Piotr Albrecht, Professor Anna Tyrska-Kmets; as well as well-known in Europe and Poland neonatologists Professor Maria Katarzyna Borszewska-Kornatska, Professor Bogumila Stoinska shared their knowledge, scientific and practical experience. The famous scientists, experts from Ukraine: Professor Dobrianskyi D.O., Professor Kovaliova O.M., Professor Makeieva N.I., Professor Ryga O.O., Professor Haytovych M.I., Professor Besh L.V., Professor Sinoverska O.B., Professor Chaichenko T.V. took part in the conference. Due to the world pandemic and challenging epidemiological situation in the region, the meeting was held online.<\/p>\n

The first section meeting covered the\u00a0topical issues of neonatology<\/em><\/strong>, namely premature new-borns. Professor\u00a0Halyna Pavlyshyn<\/strong>\u00a0presented the report on \u201cPremature infant \u2013 the challenges and consequences of extrauterine life\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Iryna Sarapuk<\/strong>, the Associate Professor of the Department of Paediatrics presented a report on \u201cHow to cope with infant challenges and prevent adverse consequences?\u201d<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Maria Katarzyna Borszewska-Kornatska<\/strong>\u00a0noted with great pleasure and joy the sincere interest of Ukrainian neonatologists in new knowledge and approaches to care of a special category of extremely and very premature new-borns. Professor M.-K. Kornatska thanked Professor Mykhaylo Korda, the Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, and the conference organizers for their work, efforts and sincere desire to cooperate.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Professor M.-K. Kornatska<\/strong>\u00a0reported on \u201cFollow-up of a premature baby at the outpatient stage\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Dmytro Dobrianskyi<\/strong>, Professor of the Department of Paediatrics, Lviv Danylo Halytskyi National Medical University, reported on \u201cPhysical Development and Nutrition of a Premature Newborns\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Bogumila Stoinska<\/strong>\u00a0(Poland) provided to neonatologists, paediatricians, family doctors a very interesting information about \u201cPsychomotor development of children born with a body weight <1500 g, clinical problems and long-term consequences of prematurity\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the section of\u00a0Paediatrics<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>of the conference, Associate Professor\u00a0Oleksandra Shulgai<\/strong>\u00a0expanded on the issues of functional disorders with a report on \u201cPathogenetic approach to solving the problem of infantile colic\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Halyna Pavlyshyn<\/strong>\u00a0reported on \u201cFrequently Asked Questions in Outpatient Follow-up of Premature Infants\u201d.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Piotr Albrecht<\/strong>, the Head of the Clinic of Gastroenterology and Nutrition of Children of Warsaw Medical University (Poland) and a member of the Board of the Polish Paediatric Society, presented a report on \u201cAntibiotic therapy for respiratory infections in children: the most common mistakes\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Associate Professor\u00a0Victoria Slyva<\/strong>\u00a0emphasized on current approaches to diagnosis and treatment of bronchiolitis in infants and children, from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine, and stressed the significance of prevention of respiratory syncytial infection in children at risk and the importance of timely vaccination.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Anna Tyrska-Kmets,<\/strong>\u00a0the Cardiology Clinic of the Institute of Child Health of the Warsaw Medical University (Poland), presented \u201cDiagnostic approaches and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias in children\u201d.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Oksana Boyarchuk<\/strong>\u00a0expanded on \u201cAllergic manifestations of primary immunodeficiency\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Lesya Besh<\/strong>, the Head of the Department of Paediatrics No.2 of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, the Head of the Lviv Children\u2019s Allergy Centre, the Expert of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, told how to choose the optimal strategy for bronchial asthma control in children.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Olha Dyvoniak<\/strong>, the Head of the Department of Children Infectious Diseases of Ternopil City Municipal Children Hospital, presented the report on \u201cTreatment of children with multisystem inflammatory syndrome\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Top specialists, famous scientists from Ukraine and Poland joined in the section of\u00a0Paediatric Endocrinology;<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Associate Professor\u00a0Viktoria Furdela<\/strong>\u00a0was the moderator. Professor\u00a0Tetiana Chaichenko<\/strong>\u00a0from Kharkiv National Medical University presented \u201cModern ideas about children obesity\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Artur Mazur<\/strong>\u00a0of Rzeszow University, the Head of the Clinic of Paediatrics, Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology, the Vice-Rector of the Collegium of Medical Sciences, co-organizer of the Ukrainian-Polish conference congratulated the Ukrainian medical community on the holiday and thanked for their participation in the scientific forum. Professor Artur Mazur presented the report on \u201cProspects in the treatment of diabetes type 1 in children\u201d; he shared recent promising methods and developments in the treatment of this disease.<\/p>\n

Paediatric Endocrinologist Associate Professor\u00a0Viktoria Furdela<\/strong>\u00a0focused the attention of paediatricians and general physicians on the topical issues of diagnosis and treatment of diabetes in children<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Halyna Pavlyshyn<\/strong>\u00a0thanked the university management for the assistance in organization of the conference, co-organizers and guests of the conference, all participants and partners of the scientific forum.<\/p>\n

The format of the videoconference allowed the participants not only to present their scientific achievements, but also became a platform for scientific dialogue, joint viewing and discussion of videos and presentations.<\/p>\n
