The Baltic University Programme is one of the largest university cooperation in the world, with about 90 participating universities in the Baltic Sea Region, cooperating for education and research in Sustainable Development and Democracy. Each year the EU is organizing a forum for the Baltic Sea Region. The forum is an event where business, politics, academia, civil society and state organizations meet to discuss the future of our region. This year, the meeting was held online and included 35 students from 10 countries: Latvia, Belarus, Lithuania, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

During 2 days (19th and 21st of October 2020),\u00a0 participants had an opportunity to take part in many interesting lectures, workshops and ice-breakers, which from the beginning helped to get to know each other better. The program was realized by Uppsala University in Sweden in cooperation with \u00c5bo Akademi University in Turku (Sweden). On the second day of project, students joined the 11th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (held in Finland \u2013 Turku) and followed interesting speeches from European ministers, mayors of European cities, representatives of European organizations and associations which were associated with next steps towards innovate and sustainable development of Baltic Sea Region.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuitability is a wide definition which actually needs many people to be implemented. We had a chance to find out, how our points of view differ during the realization of the movie project. Am I as correct as my friends thinking that suitability is an equal quality of health care and education and equal quality of them? When we look at the goals of sustainable development we will find an answer immediately, since all seventeen principles play a crucial and equal role in the significance of \u2018Sustainability\u2019\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my opinion, a way of presentation of problems has the most important role in making people engaged in common work to solve them. That is why to find an answer, what the next step is towards an innovative, sustainable and connected Baltic Sea Region, we should start from connecting and integrating people and making them sensitive to actual issues,\u201d\u00a0Hubert Mikosza.<\/strong><\/p>\n
