Within the Erasmus+ KA2 Programme \u201cCapacity Building in the Field of Higher Education \u2013 Joint Projects\u201d I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University in partnership with 7 other consortium members received funding from the European Union for implementation of a joint project \u201cSimulation in Undergraduate MEDical Education for Improvement of SAFEty and Quality of Patient Care, SAFEMED\u201d; registration number 618812-EPP-1-2020-1-GE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.<\/p>\n

The Projects of Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education involve international cooperation based on multilateral partnerships, mainly between higher education institutions of the Programme member countries and the Program partner countries. Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education \u2013 Joint Projects provides development of educational programs through preparation of innovative courses and teaching methods.<\/p>\n

This year, the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has received 1,005 eligible applications, but only 164 were selected for funding. A list of all selected projects is published on the website of the Executive Agency (http:\/\/eacea.ec.europa.eu\/erasmus-plus\/selection-results_en<\/a>\u00a0).The maximum amount of funding that will be provided to the project \u201cSimulation in Undergraduate MEDical Education for Improvement of SAFEty and Quality of Patient Care, SAFEMED\u201d is 868,482.00 euros.<\/p>\n

The project comprises 8 partner members of the consortium: I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University as well as Tbilisi State Medical University (Georgia); University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain); Vilnius University (Lithuania); University of Catania (Italy); Yerevan State University (Armenia); Aybusak University (Armenia); Bukovynian State Medical University (Ukraine).<\/p>\n

This year the European Union has funded 10 Erasmus+ KA2 projects \u201cCapacity Building in the Field of Higher Education\u201d in Ukraine.
