It is our pleasure to announce the BUP Mobility Research Grant 2019. The\u00a0aim with the Mobility Research Grant is to develop and strengthen the\u00a0cooperation among young researchers in the Baltic Sea Region. The grant\u00a0is intended to support young scholars from BUP Member Universities\u00a0<http:\/\/www.balticuniv.uu.se\/about-us\/member-universities\/<\/a>> in their\u00a0research on sustainable development. The grant winner will be invited to\u00a0present the research at a BUP conference or other event. This will be an\u00a0opportunity to disseminate results, ideas and to create intra-network
\ncooperation.<\/p>\n

Please observe, that the grant is aimed at young researchers which means\u00a0that for a post-doc, not more than 7 years should have passed since the\u00a0dissertation.<\/p>\n

\/Deadline for applications: 31st October 2019. \/<\/p>\n

*Eligibility*<\/p>\n

* The Mobility Research Grant is open to PhD students and Postdoc\u00a0\u00a0scholars from all BUP Member Universities\u00a0\u00a0<http:\/\/www.balticuniv.uu.se\/about-us\/member-universities\/<\/a>>;
\n* The applications can be made for the mobility funding of new\u00a0\u00a0research projects (in whole or in part), or as a financial\u00a0\u00a0contribution to ongoing ones – as far as the applicant stay at
\nanother university in the Baltic Sea region during the mobility\u00a0\u00a0grant period. The idea is that the grant will cover travel and\u00a0\u00a0accommodation which will be handled by the BUP coordinating
\nsecretariat in Uppsala.
\n* Applicants representing any discipline are welcome to apply;
\n* The proposed research project needs to be directly connected to the
\nfield of sustainable development and the Baltic Sea region.<\/p>\n

*The Grants*
\nA limited number of contributions will be awarded to a maximum total\u00a0\u00a0value of 3,000 Euros. The Mobility Grant period should end no later than\u00a0the 31st of December 2020. A report from the grant receiver should be\u00a0sent to the BUP coordinating secretariat no later than 3 month after\u00a0ended mobility grant period. The applications will be assessed by the\u00a0Baltic University Scientific Committee according to the following criteria:
\n* Originality: The degree to which the proposed project is pointing to\u00a0\u00a0new, original ideas in sustainability; grasping and developing the\u00a0\u00a0concept of sustainable development in unique and unexpected directions;
\n* A statement of your plan for cooperation with the host university\u00a0\u00a0while staying there as a guest researcher, and if relevant,\u00a0\u00a0cooperation also with other partners in the Baltic Sea region;
\n* Although inter-disciplinarily is not a strict requirement, projects\u00a0\u00a0deemed to have a potential of crossing traditional disciplinary\u00a0\u00a0boundaries, especially the division line between social and natural\u00a0\u00a0science and technology will attract special attention in the evaluation;
\n* Project has focus on the Baltic Sea region;
\n* The time period spend at the hosting university is minimum one month;
\n* An invitation letter from the hosting university is required.<\/p>\n
