On May 27-29, 2019 in Uppsala (Sweden), \u201cTwo Steps: Internationalization in Practice \u2013 Sweden, Ukraine and Belarus\u201d project was implemented as a part of the Baltic University Program. It was attended by 24 representatives of Ukrainian universities, 9 representatives of Belarus and 14 representatives of Sweden. Director of the Baltic University Program at Uppsala University\u00a0Madeleine Grunwick<\/strong>\u00a0headed the event. TNMU was represented by the head of the Department of Medical Biology, Professor\u00a0Fedoniuk Larysa Yaroslavivna<\/strong>\u00a0and Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics No.\u00a02\u00a0Kovalchuk Tetiana Anatoliiivna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

TNMU considers internationalization as an opportunity to teach medicine in another country, being a part of the international community in practice. In this context, internationalization also includes the integration of global perspectives and intercultural implementation into the educational process. All this involves a transnational approach when medical schools cooperate with other international educational institutions to achieve common goals. It helps to solve key problems in society and involves cooperation between a number of medical schools in different countries. Patient safety, new patient rights, new demands and new expectations create challenges and the need for standardization and accreditation of medical schools.<\/p>\n

Geir Loe (Senior Fellow at the Swedish Agricultural University) shares the experience of partnership between Swedish universities, Ukraine and Belarus within Erasmus + programs.<\/em><\/p>\n

Oksana Kraievska (Erasmus + Program Coordinator at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv) tells about the opportunities of Erasmus + and internationalization programs for Ukraine.<\/em><\/p>\n

Group work with the discussion of the strategy of internationalization and challenges for the successful implementation of international cooperation.<\/em><\/p>\n

As a result of the participation in the project, TNMU plans to find new European partners for the organization of new academic mobility programs among teachers and students. We will also be happy to share our experience with new partners. We consider student mobility as a learning and internship opportunity. As for the teachers\u2019 mobility, one of the most promising areas of cooperation is the implementation of programs of visiting lecturers and joint research in the major fields of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and nursing. The experience gained during such mobility programs is planned to be introduced into TNMU. We hope that in the future this will enable the development of joint educational programs with partner universities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
