The IX International Christian Medical Students Conference (ICMA) took place in Vinnytsia on October 12-14, 2018 . This event was organized by the International Christian Medical Association in Ukraine (icmau.com<\/a>). ICMA coordinators in Ternopil are TSMU students Idowu Gideon Oluwatobi, Bray Isaac, Agaren Daniel, Okoye Gloria, and Bakare Sandra.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s conference was attended by more than 300 participants from different universities of Ukraine (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, and Sumy). They had the opportunity to present their research. In addition, the students attended four master classes in various fields of medicine, which was attended by 15 invited experienced teachers from 12 countries. Including:

Students of TSMU International Students\u2019 took an active role in the work of ICMA. Several of them presented their research papers. For example, fifth year student Ozioma Chinonye Nwosu presented her work\u00a0Assessment of Neonatal Pain<\/em>, sixth year students Chinelo Amauche Ashara spoke about\u00a0Childhood Acquired Methemoglobinemia<\/em>, and Bray Isaac gave a talk on\u00a0The Quality of Life Assessment for Young People with Chronic Renal Failure.<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition, they placed third in the International Talent Contest. Oluwatosin Felix Ogunlade, Toluwalade Oluwapelumi Fatunde, Happy Abiola Hunyinbo, and Bray Isaac presented a dance composition.<\/p>\n

The students wish to thank TSMU rector and ISF dean, who contributed to their participation in the ICMA-2018 and Dr. Jim Peipon, President of Ukraine Medical Outreach, who advises on the organization of the conference.<\/p>\n
