Valetskyi.<\/p>\n Prof. D.O. Butov of Kharkiv National Medical University gave a presentation on\u00a0Malabsorption Syndrome in Pulmonary Tuberculosis<\/em>\u00a0(authors M. M. Kuzhko and D. A. Butov).<\/p>\n Prof. D. A. Butov<\/p>\n Prof. O.E. Samohalska presented her work Advancements in\u00a0Pancreatology: Rational Use of Spasmolytics<\/em>.<\/p>\n Prof. O.E. Samohalska<\/p>\n Prof. I. Gospodskyi presented his study Current Approaches to Antifibrotic Therapy.<\/p>\n Prof. I.Gospodskyi<\/p>\n A large delegation from Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (Dnipro, Ukraine) presented results of their research.<\/p>\n Professor L.I. Konopkina, Head of DMA Department of Internal Medicine and member of the European Respiratory Society, Ukrainian Society of Phthisiologists and Pulmonologists presented on the features of diagnosis and treatment of patients with different phenotypes of broncho-obstructive diseases.<\/p>\n Professor L.I. Konopkina.<\/p>\n 36 posters were submitted to the poster section.<\/p>\n The International Pulmonology School was in session on September 26-27. Opening this year\u2019s school, TSMU vice-rector for research and academic work, prof. A.G. Shulhai, introduced the University, it\u2019s work and achievements, international programs and cooperation. TSMU vice-rector for research, prof. I.M. Klisch welcomed the participants on behalf of the rector.<\/p>\n The lecturers of International Pulmonology School included:<\/p>\n The first and second sectional sessions of the school were dedicated to the topic of Boncho-obturative diseases. The following talks were presented:\u00a0Phenotype guided COPD treatment<\/em>\u00a0(Pawe\u0142 \u015aliwi\u0144ski);\u00a0GINA 2018<\/em>\u00a0(Ihor Hospodarskyi);\u00a0Practical differential diagnosis of COPD vs. heart failure in a patient with chronic dyspnea<\/em>\u00a0(Adam Barczyk),\u00a0Natural history of asthma \u2013 to cure or to make an effort to diagnose\u00a0<\/em>(Juliusz Bokiej);\u00a0Is the overdiagnosis of bronchial asthma a problem<\/em>\u00a0(Adam Barczyk); and\u00a0Paradoxes of current management of bronchial asthma<\/em>\u00a0(Wojciech Barg).<\/p>\n After the sessions, Professors Nicolino Ambrosino, Wojciech Barg, and Szymon Skoczy\u0144ski gave a workshop for young scientists on the topic of\u00a0Opportunities for Young Scientists to Collaborate with the European Respiratory Society<\/em>.<\/p>\n The third sectional meeting on September 27th<\/sup>\u00a0was focused on the topic of chronic respiratory failure. The following talks were presented \u00a0Indications for long-term oxygen therapy (LTOT) at home<\/em>\u00a0(Pawe\u0142 \u015aliwi\u0144ski); \u00a0LTOT: how we start with it in Ukraine<\/em>\u00a0(Volodymyr Horodetskyi);\u00a0How to diagnose and treat sleep respiratory failure with polysomnography?<\/em>\u00a0(Aleksander Kania;\u00a0Pulmonary rehabilitation \u2013 focus on broncho-obturative diseases<\/em>\u00a0(Nicolino Ambrosino) and\u00a0Unusual aspects of dyspnea sensation assessment in the era of medical globalization<\/em>\u00a0(Szymon Skoczy\u0144ski).<\/p>\n During the fourth session, the participants discussed the topic of Non-invasive ventilation. The lecturers presented the following reports:\u00a0Chronic oxygen therapy or non-invasive mechanical ventilation in kyphoscoliosis<\/em>?
