Four Faculty of Medicine students from the partner university: Sergen Seyhan, Mustafa Canberk G\u00fcrb\u00fcz, Gulfem Sendemir, Aybike Buse Kalkay, came to Ternopil to participate in the practical training program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/1-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32891\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Bah\u00e7e\u015fehir University \u00a0students at TSMU.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For two weeks, the physicians-in-training worked at Ternopil University Hospital under the supervision of TSMU lecturers from the Departments of Functional and Laboratory Diagnostics; Medical Treatment; Surgery; \u00a0and Department of Surgery, Urology, Minimally Invasive Surgery and Neurosurgery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/3-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32892\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"996\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32893\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The students have trained at TSMU Center for non-Invasive Surgical Technologies under the guidance of assistant curators assistant professors Kostiantyn Pohodun and Andrii Makhnytskyi, gaining a unique practical experience of laparoscopic manipulations on medical manikins and on experimental animals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/4-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32894\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/4-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/5-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32895\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/5-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the Department of Minimally Invasive Surgery of Ternopil University Hospital, students observed a patient undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/6-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32896\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/6-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>TSMU students Vitalii Karpov and Mykola Barta helped the visitors to adjust in an unfamiliar setting and ease communication barriers with practicing doctors, lecturers, patients and fellow students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/10.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32897\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The exchange students also visited TSMU academic departments and buildings, the Anatomy Museum, collections of pathology microscopy slides and forensic medicine exhibit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32898\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At TSMU Simulation Training Center the international students had the opportunity to study work of this unit, and develop practical skills during a simulated situation involving a critical patient in the Emergency Department.<\/p>\n<p>The students also liked cultural part of their visit, including the tour Heritage ethnogallery, where they listened to a narration of the history of Ukrainian embroidery and its local characteristics.
