Every year on November 9, Ukraine celebrates Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language. This holiday was established in 1997 by a Decree of the President of Ukraine to mark the important role of the Ukrainian language in the consolidation of Ukrainian society and is aimed at supporting the mother tongue, its study, development and promotion, and at the same time demonstrating its diversity and beauty.<\/p>\n

According to the Orthodox calendar, it is the day of commemoration of the Rev. Nestor the Chronicler, the founder of ancient Ukrainian historiography, the first historian of Kievan Rus, a thinker, scientist, monk of the Kyiv-Pechersk monastery. Researchers believe that it is from Nestor the Chronicler that the written Ukrainian language originates.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, a number of events are organized at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.<\/p>\n

Under the guidance and with the active participation of the Head of the Department of physiology with the basics of bioethics and biosafety, Professor Vadziuk S.\u00a0N., teachers and medical students on November 8, 2019 joined the All-Ukrainian Dictation of National Unity. All the students were pleased to participate in the event, and the teachers supported this important initiative with their example.<\/p>\n

On the same day, teachers of TNMU Department of the Ukrainian Language also organized events dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language. Students of the Faculty of Medicine and International Students\u2019 Faculty participated in the celebration.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The opening speech was delivered by the Head of the Department of the Ukrainian Language, Professor Anatolii Vykhrushch. Professor Vykhrushch read his own poems and presented his best poetry reciters with his own book collections.<\/p>\n

Dmytro Kovalchuk and Sofia Chornobei were the headliners of the event<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The poems were recited by the students Victoria Shymonchyk and Sofia Baliuk.<\/p>\n

Beautiful Ukrainian poetry was also recited by international students Panchal Tanmai, Dagar Joti, Ogunmtseva Bisola, Kumar Shivam, Djangra Prah, Folayan Oladayo, Oeleke Blessing, Singh Shveta, they demonstrated their mastery of the Ukrainian poetic word.<\/p>\n

In the end, the song \u201cCheremshyna\u201d was performed by Oksana Melnychuk. Her singing fascinated teachers, students and guests of the Department Ukrainian Language.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
