Cooperation between Ternopil State Medical University and Wroc\u0142aw Medical University allows our university professors to train at\u00a0the hospitals of the partner university. The most recent \u00a0training\u00a0was a ten-day visit to the Clinic of Bone Marrow Transplantation, Pediatric Oncology and Hematology\u00a0Przyl\u0105dek Nadziei<\/em>\u00a0by TSMU instructor from the\u00a0Department of Pediatrics \u00a0Natalia Luchyshyn.<\/p>\n

Headed by professor Alicia Chybicka, this clinic, one of the units of Wroc\u0142aw Medical University Hospital, performs more than half of all bone marrow transplants in children with blood cancer in\u00a0Poland. Each year,\u00a0Przyl\u0105dek Nadziei<\/em>\u00a0treats over two thousand little\u00a0patients.<\/p>\n

During the training, Dr.Natalia Lucyshyn studied organization of medical care to children with hematological pathology and oncology diseases at the outpatient and inpatient settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She participated in clinical rounds by professors and doctors of the hematology and intensive care departments, carried out diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations (bone marrow and lumbar punctures), which allowed her to develop her skills of working with sick children and their parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
