TSMU associate professor of pharmaceutical chemistry, dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Lilia Lohoida on 7-9 March 2017 took part in Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference, which takes place annually in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).<\/p>\n

The pharmaceutical industry worldwide is undergoing significant transformation toward increased automation, specialization and, ultimately, improved quality.<\/p>\n

DUPHAT has also evolved since its inception in the mid-1990 to become a comprehensive and internationally recognized pharmaceutical conference.<\/p>\n

Today the international scientific program of the symposium and exhibitions bring together practicing pharmacists, doctors, researchers, medical representatives, young scientists and students.<\/p>\n

Scientists from the US, UK, Australia, Europe, Canada, Africa, Japan and the Middle East present their latest achievements of pharmaceuticals as part of a three-day intensive program with a wide range of issues covering pharmaceutical practice, pharmaceutical science, pharmaceutical education, continuous professional development and advanced practice.<\/p>\n

The scientific program of DUPHAT includes pharmacy workshops and seminars, parallel scientific presentations, poster presentations for professional, academic and student audience, student poster contest and short oral presentation competitions. This year they also could learn about the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry, which were presented at the exhibition of pharmaceutical technologies by multinational pharmaceutical companies.<\/p>\n

Associate professor of pharmaceutical chemistry Lilia Lohoida presented both a talk and a poster prepared together with co-authors Muzvarwandoga Liberty Rufaro, Izzi Enijehon Odia, Ibrahim Saleh Said Kowisy, and Dmytro Korobko on Chromatographic Determination of API from Group of Calcium Channel Blockers in Medicines. These presentations received diplomas.<\/p>\n

Dr. Lilia Lohoida also took part in the workshop Validation of Analytical and Bioanalytical Methods, held during DUPHAT 2017 and received certificate of participation.<\/p>\n

In addition to the scientific program of the conference, the organizers offered an interesting and informative tour of Dubai.<\/p>\n
