Recently, as a part of \u201cYour profession\u201d project, Ternopil State Medical University students met with a renowned Ukrainian plastic and reconstructive surgeon, founder and head of the Medical Center \u201d Valikhnovski MD in Kiev Rostyslav Valikhnovskyi. Dr. Valikhnovskyi is a TSMU graduate.<\/p>\n

He is also vice-president of the Ukrainian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic Surgeons (\u0412\u0410\u041f\u0420\u0415\u0425), a political and public figure. In 2008 \u2013 2010 he was deputy head of State Administration of the President of Ukraine, and in 2010-2012 chaired the department of medical supply and implementation of the \u201c112\u201d system of Ministry of health of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The project \u201cYour profession\u201d has been running in Ternopil State Medical University for the last 1.5 years. It was initiated by the sixth year student of faculty of medicine Iryna Lysa.<\/p>\n

More than 450 students registered for the event. Presenting Rostyslav Valikhnovskyi was vice-rector for research Dr. Ivan Klishch.<\/p>\n

During the informal event Dr. Valikhnovskyi shared experiences, recommend books to read and gave advice on efficient planning of daily work.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has suggested that we read a Jay Papasan book The ONE Thing, and Kaplan medical books. Also, he emphasized the importance of having good intentions, inner beauty and faith in God. Dr. Valikhnovskyi pointed out that despite the mistakes and problems that may happen along our career path; we must not give up, and keep towards our goal. He recommended to study abroad and learns other languages. Much attention was paid to motivation. Rostyslav Valikhnovskyi said that doctors need to lead a healthy life, to be an example for their patients, \u201c- said Iryna Lysa.<\/p>\n
