Ternopil State Medical University expands its cooperation with educational and scientific institutions of Poland. Recently, the Rector of TSMU Professor Mykhailo Korda discussed possible cooperation with the Rector of Lubuskie Higher School of Public Health in Zielona G\u00f3ra (Poland), the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of Health in Lublin, the President of the Polish Society of Social Medicine and Public Health Professor Alfred Ovoc on joint research projects together with the Institute of Rural Health.<\/p>\n

The Institute of Rural Health deals with rural health care and emphasizes on health care of people engaged in agriculture, forestry, food industry and wood processing. A number of researches and clinical developments and their adaptation to health care in practice take place at the institute. The study of the health care of rural population in terms of food safety, hygiene and toxicology are very important at the institute. Much attention is also paid to parasitological and microbiological research. The Institute has a laboratory and is involved into many research projects that are important for our university researchers because the Ternopil region is agricultural as well.<\/p>\n
