The scientists of Ternopil State Medical University participated in an international scientific conference \u201cCirculation of Controlled Drugs in the Family Practice\u201d. It was held on September 17-18 in Irpin, Kyiv region under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine, the International Fund \u201cRenaissance\u201d, UNGO \u201cUkrainian Association of Family Medicine\u201d (UAFM). More than 200 participants from all over Ukraine took part in the event.<\/p>\n

The delegation from Ternopil region was represented by 6 people. They represented 531 Ternopil family doctors and 322 members of the NGO \u201cAssociation of Family Doctors of Ternopil region\u201d. The Vice President of this NGO, the member of UAFM, the head of the Department of Primary Health Care and General Practice of Family Medicine of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Lilia Babinets and the secretary of this NGO, Associate Professor of this department Iryna Borovyk were among them.<\/p>\n

The conference program was of great current interest and very eventful. The reports on topical issues of primary care physicians practice were presented. The speech of Doctor of Medicine from Croatia, the Center for Addictions Treatment in Porec, Ante Ivanovych about substitution therapy in family practice was very interesting. He tought a master class.<\/p>\n

During the conference, a meeting of the Management Board of the NGO \u201cUkrainian Association of Family Medicine\u201d was held. The members of the Ternopil delegation became the UAFM activists. Professor Liliya Babinets was elected the Head of the Department of Research, who introdused her attitude for science development in the area of General Practice of Family Medicine. Professor Babinets L.S. and Associate Professor Borovyk I.O. became a part the working group of UAFM Department of Education. They offered the existing multidisciplinary curriculum of the Department of Primary Health Care and General Practice of Family Medicine of Ternopil State Medical University to be accepted as a fundamental document for establishment of the state program for family medicine teaching at the undergraduate level.<\/p>\n
