The representatives of I.Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics \u21162 Sarapuk Iryna and the resident physician of the Department of Primary Health Care and General Practice of Family Medicine Zakharchuk Uliana trained in clinical departments of the university from October 05 till November 06 as a part of international cooperation with Wroclaw Medical University.<\/p>\n

The head of the Office for International Affairs of Wroclaw Medical University, Honorary Professor of Ternopil State Medical University Wojciech Barg has been a cooperation coordinator between these universities for several years. He arranged a training program which meets high European standards of the investigation due to the scientific interests of each young researcher.<\/p>\n

One month the young scientists of TSMU visited Wroclaw Medical University and got acquainted with latest medical achievements of Poland.<\/p>\n

Assistant Professor of the Department of Pediatrics \u21162 Sarapuk Iryna trained at the Department of Neonatology (Prof., dr. hab. Barbara Kr\u00f3lak-Olejnik) and at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (the Head of the Department, Prof. dr. hab. n. med. Andrzej K\u00fcbler) of the University Hospital. During the internship she got acquainted with the facilities of these departments, contemporary diagnostic and treatment techniques of the newborns\u2019 most common diseases and peculiarities of premature newborn developmental care.<\/p>\n

The Department of Neonatology consists of neonatal intensive care and postresuscitation developmental care ward, neonatal pathology ward, post-natal ward.<\/p>\n

The resident physician of the Department of Primary Health Care and General Practice of Family Medicine Zakharchuk Uliana trained at the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetology and Treatment by Means of Isotopes (the Head of the Department Prof. dr hab. n. med. Marek Bolanowski), at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (the Head of the Department Prof . dr hab. dr h.c. Leszek Paradowski) and at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (the Head of the Department Prof. dr hab. n. med. Andrzej K\u00fcbler). At the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetology and Treatment by Means of Isotopes doctor Katarzyna Zawadzka expanded on the peculiarities of examination and treatment of the patients. She also managed to arrange Zakharchuk Uliana\u2018s visit to hormone laboratory and the presence during practical classes, seminars and lectures for students.<\/p>\n

Professor Wojciech Barga invited Zakharchuk Uliana to participate at the Conference \u201cTopical issues of allergology\u201d of Polish Allergological Association and attended lectures by dr hab. n. med. Wieslawy Duszynskej on sepsis.<\/p>\n

The young scientists are grateful to the University administration, especially to the Rector of Ternopil State Medical University Professor Mykhailo Korda, the project coordinator Honorary Professor Wojciech Barga and Associate Professor N.Ye.Lisnychuk for the opportunity to participate in the training and appreciate the assistance of project supervisors Vice-Rector for Research Professor I.M. Klishch, the Head of the Department of Pediatrics \u2116 2 Professor H.A. Pavlyshyn, Doctor of Medical Science, and the Head of the Department of Primary Health Care and General Practice of Family Medicine Professor L.S.
