The Vice Rector for Research of Samarkand Medical Institute (Uzbekistan) Associate Professor Botyr Yuldashev and the Chief of Education Office, the Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases Associate Professor Narhiza Yarmukhamedova visited Ternopil State Medical University. During the meeting with the Rector of TSMU Professor Mykhailo Korda the guests sent greetings on behalf of the Rector of Samarkand Medical Institute Azamat Shamsiev, who is an Honorary Professor of TSMU.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, they discussed the further cooperation in different areas. In particular, the Samarkand guests were interested in the possibility of their students\u2019 participation in the International Student Summer Schools, which take place annually at the Recreational Center \u201cChervona Kalyna\u201d. The innovations in educational process due to Law of Ukraine \u201cOn Higher Education\u201d were of great concern. Much attention was paid to the peculiarities of student\u2019s knowledge evaluation, tests procedure at the Center of Students\u2019 Knowledge Independent Testing. The Guests were also interested in scientific cooperation, including the Master degree students exchange, the possibility to perform research in our laboratories, to participate in joint research projects, to publish their researches in academic publications of TSMU. The Rector of the university Professor Mykhailo Korda asked the guests to expand on their postgraduate education that differs from ours and is of current interest for Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The guests were invited to\u00a0the Academic and Research Institute of Morphology and the Museum of the Department of Pathologic Anatomy, Autopsy Course and Forensic Pathology there.<\/p>\n

They also visited the Newborn Intensive Care Unit which has been recently opened in Ternopil Regional Children\u2019s Clinical Hospital.<\/p>\n
