With the assistance of the department&#8217;s researchers, all attendees had the opportunity to learn about scientific studies confirming the positive impact of meditation on the brain, emotional state, and behavior. The speakers explained how regular meditation can help reduce anxiety levels, manage stress, and enhance concentration and emotional resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image3-345x460.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-154820\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image3-345x460.jpeg 345w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image3-101x135.jpeg 101w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image3-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image3-200x267.jpeg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image3.jpeg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The first speaker was an internship doctor Andrii Chaika, who presented a historical overview of the origins and development of meditation and introduced the terminology used in Hindu philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Another lecturer, Associate Professor of the Psychiatry Department Volodymyr Bilous, familiarized the audience with the neurobiology of meditation. During his presentation, he explained the anatomy of the brain structures involved in meditation and why meditation reduces anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image2-345x460.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-154822\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image2-345x460.jpeg 345w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image2-101x135.jpeg 101w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image2-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image2-200x267.jpeg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image2.jpeg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Internship doctor Dariia Oreshchenko organized a meditation session for the attendees, allowing them to experience its effects personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The event was an important step in promoting and educating about mental health care among TNMU students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image1-345x460.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-154824\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image1-345x460.jpeg 345w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image1-101x135.jpeg 101w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image1-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image1-200x267.jpeg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image1.jpeg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Participants were allowed to try meditation techniques suitable for individuals with varying levels of experience and learned how to integrate these techniques into everyday life to maintain mental balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The next Mental Health Center meeting will occur on November 14, 2024.
