On October 17\u201318, 2024, the 10th Anniversary Scientific-Practical Conference with international participation, “Scientific and Technological Progress and Optimization of Technological Processes for Creating Pharmaceuticals,” took place online at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU). The conference was dedicated to the memory of Dr. Taras Hroshovyi, a prominent Professor and Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference began with a welcoming speech by Professor Ivan Klishch, Vice-Rector for Research, who highlighted the healthcare system’s challenges in wartime and shared his memories of Professor Taras Hroshovyi, a notable pharmaceutical scientist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0In the first presentation, Professor Dmytro Dmytriievskyi shared memories of Professor Hroshovyi’s contributions to the pharmacy field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associate Professor Nataliia Belei, Head of the Department of Pharmacy Management and Pharmaceutical Technology, discussed his role in developing pharmaceutical education and science at TNMU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scientists from various universities, including Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and National Pharmaceutical University, shared warm memories of Professor Hroshovyi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Liudmyla Kucherenko from Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University presented “Scientific Aspects of Developing New Domestic Pharmaceuticals,” outlining the university’s achievements and research prospects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Significant attention at the conference was given to pharmaceutical and medical education and the professional challenges in the field. Professor Nataliia Tkachenko of Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University discussed practical pharmacy issues, pharmacist rights, and work quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk spoke about the importance and principles of pharmacovigilance in healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marharyta Khmelovska, Deputy Head of the Economic Feasibility Assessment of Medical Technologies Department at
the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of medical technology assessment.

Professor Svitlana Bilous presented the regulatory aspects of cosmetic product development and the teaching of “Technology of Medicinal Cosmetic Products.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Nataliia Hudz presented “Determining the Flavonoid Content and Antimicrobial Activity of Calendula Flower Tincture.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Olena Samohalska presented the population survey results in her report “Features of Pharmaceutical Care for Stress in Modern Conditions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further discussions were held during sectional meetings on various topics, including pharmaceutical research design, technological processes, pharmaceutical jurisprudence, phytochemical research, and pharmacokinetics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Volodymyr Antonyuk presented on “Chitin and Chitosan: Production, Properties, and Applications.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scientist from the National Pharmaceutical University, Associate Professor Iryna Bondaryeva, presented a report on the topic “Analysis of the Impact of Professional Burnout on the Productivity of Pharmacists.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tetyana Iliina presented the scientific achievements of a team from Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, the National University of Pharmacy, and the University of Tartu (Estonia) during her report on “Searching for Correlations Between Components of Sage Essential Oils of Different Origins.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young researcher Nadia Malanchuk from the Department of Pharmacy Management and Drug Technology at TNMU presented a segment of her dissertation research in a report “Studying the Impact of Excipient Quantities on the Pharmaco-Technological Parameters of Combined Bisoprolol Fumarate and Indapamide Tablets.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduate student Lyubov Fizer from Lviv Polytechnic National University delivered a report titled “Antimicrobial Action of Ointments with Ethyl Ester of 4-Acetylaminobenzenethiolsulfonic Acid and Rhamnolipids.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diana Dolzhko, a graduate student from Warsaw Medical University, presented a report on “Interactions with Gut Microbiota and Bioavailability of Natural Products Contained in Lavender Flowers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Tetyana Hontova presented the joint scientific achievements of specialists from the National University of Pharmacy and the University of Tartu (Estonia) in a report titled “Analysis of Volatile Compounds in Commercial Thyme Samples and Correlations Between the Main Groups of Substances.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mathematical description of the electrochemical determination of the anthelmintic drug thiabendazole in bananas on an anode modified with cobalt(III) oxyhydroxide paired with cobalt dioxide was presented in a report by Volodymyr Tkach, representing a team from universities in Ukraine, Portugal, and Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Oleh Koshovyi presented the latest methods for obtaining medicinal products and the scientific achievements of a team from the National University of Pharmacy and the University of Tartu (Estonia) in his report titled “3D-Printed Dosage Forms with Chlorophyllipt Extract Intended for Pharmaceutical Applications.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other notable presentations included young scientist Anastasiia Kulakivska’s “Comparative Analysis of Ethanolic Maceration and Enzyme-Assisted Extraction of Flavonoids from Malva sylvestris L.,” and Zeyuan Sun’s “Anti-Atherosclerosis Effect of the Herb Speranskia tuberculata (Bunge) Baill” (School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Qilu University of Technology).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the results of the conference, a resolution was adopted to enhance methodological support for research and dissertation projects, to promote the broader use of modern phytochemical and pharmacotechnological research methods in the development and analysis of pharmaceuticals, and to actively work on implementing the outcomes of fundamental and scientific pharmacotechnological research into practical pharmacy and medicine both in Ukraine and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

27 universities, research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies participated, including international partners from Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Norway, Portugal, Uzbekistan, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Japan, and China. The conference proceedings included over 220 abstracts, demonstrating the event’s broad, collaborative reach in advancing pharmaceutical science and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
