From October 31 to November 2, 2024, the European Resuscitation Council Congress took place in Athens, where teams from various countries participated in the International Resuscitation Championship, #RESUS24.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ukrainian team included Associate Professor of Emergency and Simulation Medicine Department at TNMU, Halyna Tsymbaliuk (team leader); assistants from the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine, Narhiz Dzhavadova and Roman Huk; Larysa Chubenko (Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Center of Emergency and Disaster Medicine, Ministry of Health of Ukraine); and Iryna Denysiuk (paramedic at the Rivne Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine Center).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main tasks in the competition involved assisting critical patients experiencing sudden cardiac arrest in the pre-hospital phase, including post-resuscitation support. The championship was part of a scientific study examining the impact of non-technical skills and team interaction on the effectiveness of resuscitation efforts and critical patient management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top three teams, representing the countries with the best results, advanced to the finals: the Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, and Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the final round, the task was to assist a one-year-old child in a critical condition who subsequently experienced sudden cardiac arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine\u2019s victory was announced during the closing ceremony of the European Resuscitation Council Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
