On November 14, 2024, the Student Scientific Society and Young Scientists\u2019 Council of Ternopil National Medical University organized a thematic webinar for World Diabetes Day<\/em>. Held on the MS Teams platform, the event brought together students, young researchers, and others interested in the prevention and treatment of diabetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The webinar began with a welcome address by Professor Ivan Klishch, TNMU’s Vice-Rector for Research. He highlighted the importance of awareness and prevention of diabetes, given the rising prevalence of the condition worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Serhii Karpeniuk<\/strong>, a surgeon and head of the Western Wound Care Center, shared his practical experience treating neuropathic and mixed foot ulcers in diabetic patients using the TIME framework (Tissue, Infection, Moisture, Edge).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
