It ranks third in population in the region. The city is located on the Polissia Plain, in the Nadbuzhanska Basin, at the confluence of the Solokiya and Rata rivers into the Western Bug, in the northern part of Lviv Oblast. It is also one of the largest transport hubs in western Ukraine. The city is on the left bank of the Stryi River, the largest river of the Stryi region, which likely gave the city its name. The word &#8220;Stryi&#8221; has ancient origins and means &#8220;flow&#8221; or &#8220;running water.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The names of fallen heroes of the ongoing war were mentioned \u2013 <strong>Ruslan Stelmakh (&#8220;Ratatu<\/strong><strong>i&#8221;), Andriy Dyak (&#8220;Salem&#8221;), and Andriy Sydor (&#8220;Maliuk&#8221;).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"684\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image012-684x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-160407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image012-684x460.jpg 684w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image012-201x135.jpg 201w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image012-768x516.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image012-200x134.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image012.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 684px) 100vw, 684px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Lyubomyr Pidhrushnyi<\/strong>, a student from group MM-217, presented an engaging story about his hometown, <strong>Brody.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Brody<\/strong> is a city in western Ukraine, located northeast of Lviv Oblast in Zolochiv district.
