Preserving the natural and historical heritage of one\u2019s homeland is not only the duty of scientists but also an essential mission for every citizen. As part of a local history and ecological event, initiated by Professor Stepan Nestorovych Vadziuk<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Physiology with Fundamentals of Bioethics and Biosafety, participants shared the results of their research on unique locations in two powerful regions of Ukraine \u2013 Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exploring Kamyanske<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first presentation was given by Orina Miskiv<\/strong>, a MM-205 student who introduced the audience to her hometown, Kamyanske<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Notable figures from this region include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yulia Kupich<\/strong> \u2013 a follower of Maria Druzhko, also a well-known writer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Valentyn Burkhan<\/strong> \u2013 an honorary citizen of Kamyanske, a renowned dentist, and poet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert Lisovsky<\/strong> \u2013 a Ukrainian graphic artist specializing in book illustration, applied arts, scenography, and design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria Druzhko<\/strong> \u2013 a famous contemporary Ukrainian writer, a member of the National Writers’ Union, who, despite being blind, joined the organization at just 20 years old. She actively inspires young people through her youth literary and artistic club VivArt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, fallen heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian war from Kamyanske<\/strong> were honored, including Kyrylo Grebenyuk<\/strong> and Roman Marusin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smi\u0142a and Its Legacy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another presentation was delivered by Dayana Borysiuk<\/strong>, also a student of MM-205, who spoke about her hometown, Smila<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The audience also paid tribute to fallen heroes from Smila<\/strong>, including Roman Zabuy, Stanislav Hrytsiuk, Oleksiy Tsybko, Oleh Shevchenko, Anna Bohuslavska, Pavlo Savchenko, Artem Shevchuk, Nazar Lavrenko, Serhii Martyniuk, Oleksandr Borozhenko, and Oleksiy Heyko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notable figures from Smila include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olena Zhurliva<\/strong> \u2013 a Ukrainian writer and singer, who, at the age of 14, recited her poetry to Lesia Ukrainka<\/strong> and later toured Ukraine with concerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todes Osmachka<\/strong> \u2013 a Ukrainian poet and writer born in Cherkasy, who later emigrated and passed away in New York, USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yakiv Vodyanyi<\/strong> \u2013 a political, military, and public figure, commander of the Free Cossacks in Smila since 1917, and an insurgent leader in 1921. He was executed in Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Industrial Legacy of Kryvyi Rih<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arseniy Kuleshov, a student of MM-217, presented a well-researched report on Kryvyi Rih.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kryvyi Rih is one of Ukraine\u2019s most important industrial centers, dating back to the 18th century. In the 19th century, the city became a hub for iron ore mining<\/strong>, propelling the metallurgical industry’s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most notable figures from Kryvyi Rih is the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This informative and inspiring event<\/strong> helped participants explore the cultural, historical, and industrial<\/strong> significance of different regions of Ukraine, reinforcing the importance of preserving and honoring the nation\u2019s past and present.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
