The Department of Foreign Languages organized the event on the initiative of its head, Professor Nadiya Fedchyshyn. The program was rich with numerous student performances featuring the poet\u2019s works in different languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"613\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image003-613x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-162081\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image003-613x460.jpg 613w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image003-180x135.jpg 180w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image003-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image003-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image003.jpg 1473w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 613px) 100vw, 613px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The opening performance was delivered by <strong>Ivan Sav<\/strong><strong>i<\/strong><strong>tskyi<\/strong>, a first-year medical student and native of Shevchenko\u2019s homeland, who presented the poem <em>&#8220;I Do Not Complain to God&#8221;<\/em> in English translation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Students recited poems that have become anthems of national dignity and the struggle for truth. <strong>Daryna Davydiuk<\/strong> performed <em>&#8220;You Will Perish, Ukraine&#8221;<\/em> accompanied by a soulful violin piece played by <strong>Oleksandra Tymoshchuk<\/strong>, while <strong>Sesay Moses Abdul<\/strong> powerfully declaimed <em>&#8220;The Mighty Dnieper Roars and Moans&#8221;<\/em>. These performances conveyed the unbreakable spirit Shevchenko infused into his poetry, sounding both a call to struggle and a reminder of the poet\u2019s eternal connection to his people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"613\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image005-613x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-162083\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image005-613x460.jpg 613w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image005-180x135.jpg 180w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image005-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image005-200x150.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/image005.jpg 1473w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 613px) 100vw, 613px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Among the most memorable moments of the event were dramatic reenactments of two key episodes from Shevchenko\u2019s life\u2014<strong>&#8220;A Boy with a Dream&#8221;<\/strong> (performed by <strong>Nazarii Bobko, Dmytro Burda, Mykhailo Haley, and Anastasiia Pryvrotska<\/strong>) and <strong>&#8220;The Trial of Taras Shevchenko&#8221;<\/strong> (<strong>Andrii Vynychenko, Diana Mudriievska, Khrystyna Zhukovska, and Diana Tykhoniuk<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A highlight of the evening was the heartfelt performance of <em>&#8220;My Thoughts, My Thoughts&#8221;<\/em> by <strong>Yelyzaveta Klok<\/strong>, accompanied by <strong>Alla Marchuk<\/strong> on the violin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The international significance of Shevchenko\u2019s poetry was underscored by the fact that many of his works were recited in foreign languages. English renditions included <em>&#8220;The Water Flows into the Blue Sea&#8221;<\/em> by <strong>Lakshmipriya Kandarathil Sunil<\/strong>, <em>&#8220;Do Not Envy the Rich&#8221;<\/em> by <strong>Vira-Viktoria Hmyria<\/strong>, <em>&#8220;The Cherry Orchard by the House&#8221;<\/em> by <strong>Suresh Sneha<\/strong>, and <em>&#8220;The Days Pass, the Nights Pass&#8221;<\/em> by <strong>Nadiia-Anastasiia Hmyria<\/strong>. German-language performances featured <em>&#8220;The Sun Sets, the Mountains Darken&#8221;<\/em> and <em>&#8220;It\u2019s All the Same to Me\u2026&#8221;<\/em> by <strong>Mariia Romanska and Veronika Protsyk<\/strong>.
