In the latest edition of the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) for 2025, Ternopil National Medical University secured the first place among medical universities in Ukraine<\/strong>. It also ranked among Ukraine’s top ten higher education institutions (source)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/em>TNMU\u2019s Publication Activity<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, 61 Ukrainian universities were included in the SCImago Institutions Rankings for the first time. Spain\u2019s SCImago Lab evaluated 10,000 scientific and educational institutions worldwide, including more than 5,000 universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About SCImago Institutions Rankings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SCImago Institutions Rankings is a globally recognized evaluation system for academic and research institutions. Since 2009, it has assessed institutions based on three key criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n

  • Research performance (50%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Innovative developments (30%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Social impact (20%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

    The ranking takes into account the following indicators:
    \u2705 Impact of scientific publications
    \u2705 Level of international collaboration
    \u2705 Open access to research
    \u2705 Patent activity development
    \u2705 Technological contributions and digital presence of the university<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In 2024, three new indicators were added to the ranking methodology, reflecting the social impact of universities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Contribution to achieving the UN\u2019s Sustainable Development Goals<\/p>\n\n\n\n
