On March 18-19, 2025, the Department of Pharmacology with Clinical Pharmacology at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University hosted the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Pharmacology for the 2024\/2025 academic year. The event brought together 53 third-year students from the Medical Faculty and 9 students from the Pharmaceutical Faculty, offering them an opportunity to showcase their knowledge, practical skills, and logical thinking in pharmacology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coordinator responsible for the first stage of the Olympiad was Associate Professor Iryna Moseichuk. Associate Professors Viktor Pyda, Khrystyna Mocherniuk, and Maryana Lukaniuk actively supported the event’s preparation and organization. Their contributions ensured the fairness and high professional standards of the evaluation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pharmacology Olympiad is not just a competition\u2014it is a crucial step in the professional development of students. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to deepen their knowledge, assess their understanding of the subject, develop clinical thinking, and learn how to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event highlighted the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in studying pharmacology, which is grounded in a strong foundation of biochemistry, molecular biology, pathology, and pathophysiology, along with an understanding of the fundamentals of clinical medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the Olympiad fosters critical thinking, enhances the ability to analyze drug properties, understand their applications and safety, and prepares students for their future careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      They emphasized the importance of continuous self-improvement, scientific exploration, and enhancing knowledge in pharmacology\u2014essential for shaping highly qualified professionals in the medical and pharmaceutical fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Beyond assessing academic proficiency, the event also became a motivational tool, encouraging further self-development, professional competence enhancement, and preparation for future careers in medicine and pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
