On April 1, 2025, at the request of third-year paramedic students, a training session on water rescue was held. The “Orysia” hotel and wellness complex in Chortkiv district provided its facilities for the educational event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students were guided by Professor Arsen Hudyma, Head of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine; Associate Professor Viktor Nazaruk from the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Education; Senior Laboratory Assistant Valerii Zhyzhnomyrskyi; and Oleh Kosinskyi, a specialist from the Simulation Training Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training followed a structured sequence: safety briefing, warm-up, water adaptation, simulation of various drowning scenarios, techniques for approaching a drowning person, turning in water, moving toward the poolside, cervical spine and head stabilization, placement on a long rescue board, and transferring the victim from the water to the poolside. Every student had the opportunity to act as a rescuer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the practical part, the participants toured the wellness complex and explored its highlight \u2014 hydromassage baths. Yaroslav Uhliar, the complex owner, shared insights into the healing properties of the brine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students not only gained new knowledge, skills, and abilities but also personally experienced the health benefits of the natural resources of their region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
