As part of Foreign Languages Week at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, a festive concert took place, becoming a true artistic and cultural forum that united the diversity of languages, traditions, and talents of the student community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening began with a moment of silence to honor the memory of those who have died as a result of the war in Ukraine. The hosts warmly welcomed the audience and invited them on an exciting journey through the linguistic and cultural richness of the world. The event demonstrated that even in challenging times, education, art, and intercultural communication remain essential components of unity, spiritual strength, and growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first part of the concert was dedicated to the works of the great English playwright, poet, and actor William Shakespeare, whose birthday is celebrated worldwide on April 23. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy a monologue from Henry V<\/em> and an interpretation of a scene from Romeo and Juliet<\/em>, performed by students of the Faculty of Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second part of the program featured works by Vasyl Symonenko, Robert Burns, Kumaran Asan, Vyloppilli Sreedhara Menon, as well as well-known musical compositions such as \u201cRise Up,\u201d \u201cNever Enough,\u201d \u201cDignare o Domine,\u201d \u201cMe gustas t\u00fa,\u201d and more. The audience was impressed by the variety of performances: artistic recitations of poetry in English, German, Latin, and Indian languages; theatrical sketches; musical and vocal numbers; and traditional dances from India and Punjab. A special atmosphere was created by interactive moments with the audience and humorous, creative performances, including a medical-themed adaptation of the Ukrainian folk tale The Turnip<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final performances touched on deeply patriotic themes: an original poem about the resilience of the Ukrainian people and the touching song Halychanka<\/em> became the emotional culmination of the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Languages are not merely a means of communication. They are the key to understanding, to discovering the cultural wealth of humanity, to fostering tolerance and mutual respect. We sincerely thank all participants and guests for their genuine emotions, unity, and love for foreign languages \u2014 and especially for the native one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
