On April 26\u201327, 2025, the Teaching Health Forward<\/em> training took place on the campus of the Kyiv School of Economics. Ternopil National Medical University was represented by Svitlana Kucher<\/strong>, Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine and Phthisiology and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Alina Tomkiv<\/strong>, Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The educational program brought together medical university educators who are striving to modernize teaching approaches and make medical education in Ukraine more contemporary, effective, and student-centered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training was opened by speaker Olena Hurzhii<\/strong> with the presentation \u201cCurrent Challenges and Trends in Medical Education, Active Learning Methods, and the Role of Interactivity.\u201d<\/em> Participants explored the world of experiential learning, individualized approaches for the \u201cdigital generation,\u201d and active methods that enhance engagement and motivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna Tsiatsko<\/strong> gave a presentation \u201cThe Basics of Effective Communication in the Learning Process,\u201d<\/em> emphasizing the importance of sincere dialogue between teachers and students. She shared practical tools for building trust and delivering quality feedback\u2014key elements for successful education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A highlight of the event was an open dialogue with Professor Viktor Dosenko<\/strong>, where participants discussed current challenges and future prospects in organizing medical education in Ukraine. In a professional exchange format, attendees shared experiences and explored ways to improve the educational process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Anastasiia Bortnik<\/strong>, who gave a talk on \u201cPrinciples of Effective Time Management.\u201d<\/em> Participants learned how to balance their time effectively between academic, research, and personal responsibilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Anastasiia Medvid<\/strong>, who conducted a workshop on \u201cDeveloping and Implementing Innovation Projects in Medical Education,\u201d<\/em> where attendees generated ideas and explored how to apply them within educational environments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

    Maryna Savchuk<\/strong>, Head of the Research Department, presented the results of a study titled \u201cStudent Evaluation of the Teaching Process in Ukrainian Medical Universities,\u201d<\/em> which will serve as a foundation for future improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
