The final result will be the development of a prototype intelligent telemedicine decision-support system to optimize identification, triage, and treatment strategies for civilian and military injuries at different stages of prehospital and medical care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">To date, a specialized photo and video database containing over 7,000 files has been developed. It includes images of various types of civilian and combat injuries with visual descriptions and clinical data. During the visit, a unified system of assessment scales based on visual markers from images and videos was also developed. The team continues to work on effective AI algorithms for classifying different types of wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The research project includes the following stages:<\/p>\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-075c70\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Creating a unique database of civilian and combat wound images and videos;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Developing expert scoring systems for visual wound markers, tissue damage, organ involvement, and anatomical localization;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Automatic wound detection using AI;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Automated recognition of tissue types (muscle, fascia, subcutaneous fat);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Predicting the anatomical location of the injury using CNN classifiers, Grad-CAM interpretation, and integration with mobile sensors (GPS, accelerometer);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Automatic planimetric wound evaluation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Medical text analysis based on NLP;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Risk assessment for complications and infections using XGBoost, Random Forest, and logistic regression;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Validation of research findings;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Development of an AI system prototype;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Implementation of the research results.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">During his visit, Andrii Pavlyshyn conducted a research-practical seminar on <em>\u201cThe Use of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine\u201d<\/em>, where he presented the interim results of six months of work and outlined objectives for the next half-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">He also organized and led an international meeting to discuss the <em>\u201cVidnova\u201d<\/em> project under the supervision of Prof. Dmytro Popovych, which focuses on the use of virtual reality in the rehabilitation of patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A series of working meetings were held with researchers at the Opole University of Technology, including:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-2e66ca\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Dr hab. in\u017c. Krzysztof Zatwarnicki \u2013 Professor, Head of the Department of Computer Science, specialist in modeling and analysis of information systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Dr hab. in\u017c. complications using neural networks;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Agreed procedures for collecting significant image features necessary for AI training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" first responders;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Real-time photo analysis of wounds, surface area, depth, and injury type;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Automated recommendations for required medical care;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Critical condition detection and triage prioritization;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Intelligent first aid guidance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Wound severity classification for fast decision-making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The results will also serve as a training tool for both medical and non-medical personnel.
