On July 15, 2025, the Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Mykhailo Korda, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Director of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Mykhailo Babenko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The document provides for partnership in educational, scientific, expert, and research areas. Both parties plan to exchange experience, conduct mutual consultations, provide methodological support for scientific research, and organize scientific seminars, round tables, conferences, and other events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same day, the first graduation of specialists who completed the educational and professional program \u201cPharmacovigilance: Fundamental Course for Training Professionals\u201d took place. From April to July 2025, the first group of 11 trainees\u2014employees of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine\u2014completed this program at the Department of Pharmacology with a Course in Clinical Pharmacology at TNMU. The trainees successfully mastered 12 educational modules, passed the final examination, and received certificates granting the qualification of \u201cPharmacovigilance Professional.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drug safety has become critically important to prevent adverse health outcomes. Pharmacovigilance is a system for monitoring, assessing, and preventing negative effects associated with the use of medicinal products, aimed at ensuring their safety. It includes the detection, analysis, study, and prevention of adverse reactions, as well as the evaluation of the benefit-risk ratio in drug use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ternopil National Medical University is the first in Ukraine to launch pharmacovigilance specialization training for professionals with higher education in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy (Industrial Pharmacy), Medical Psychology, and Pediatrics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
