From June 9 to 21, 2025, the second stage of the certification process for graduates of the specialty “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”<\/em> was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In accordance with the requirements of the educational program “Pharmacy”<\/em>, all full-time and part-time final-year students presented the results of their qualification theses in open sessions of the examination committee, based on selected scientific directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 20 theses focused on the development and validation of analytical methods for the quantitative determination of active pharmaceutical ingredients in substances and medicinal products, assessment of their greenness using relevant tools, and application of software packages for molecular docking studies, prediction of specific toxicokinetic parameters, and pharmacological activity of investigated compounds, including virtual ones using in silico<\/em> methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several students presented qualification theses in the field of drug formulation technology. These works included substantiation of the development of specific phytosubstances, and studies on the influence of various pharmaceutical factors on the pharmacotechnical quality parameters of the proposed dosage forms and cosmetic products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 21 research projects presented the results of experimental studies determining the content of biologically active substances in promising types of herbal raw materials, offering new opportunities for the development of phytomedicines with high therapeutic efficacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another relevant research area was the optimization of pharmaceutical care for patients with socially significant diseases, including the clinical and pharmacological justification for the use of certain groups of medicinal products in complex pharmacotherapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A significant number of qualification theses were dedicated to analyzing the current state and prospects for the development of the pharmaceutical market in Ukraine. Students explored issues related to the formation and implementation of assortment and pricing policies in pharmacy institutions, the impact of regulatory changes on the activities of pharmaceutical market stakeholders, and the role of state programs in ensuring public access to medicines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of 43 full-time students in the “Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy”<\/em> specialty, 14 received an \u201cexcellent\u201d<\/em> grade, and 29 received a \u201cgood\u201d<\/em> grade based on their public defense performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notable academic achievements were demonstrated by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maryna Kril<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cPhytochemical analysis of seeds of Crambe tataria\u201d<\/em> (Supervisor: Prof. Svitlana Marchyshyn),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oksana Serafyn<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cPhytochemical analysis of primary and secondary metabolites in seeds of Nigella damascena L.\u201d<\/em> (Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Mariia Shanaida),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volodymyr Morhun<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cPhytochemical study of leaves of Mahonia aquifolium\u201d<\/em> (Supervisor: Prof. Svitlana Marchyshyn),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viktoriia Korzovska<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cSynthesis of selected chalcones and flavonols with electron-donating and electron-withdrawing substituents, modeling of their derivatives, and study of antioxidant activity\u201d<\/em> (Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Hryhorii Zahrychuk).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These students maintained excellent academic performance throughout their studies, successfully passed both stages of the Unified State Qualification Exam (USQE), and were awarded master’s degrees in Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy with honors<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among part-time students, 3 received an \u201cexcellent\u201d<\/em> grade, 87 received a \u201cgood\u201d<\/em> grade, and 8 received a \u201csatisfactory\u201d<\/em>. The highest marks were awarded to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vitalina Palamar<\/strong> (Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Mariia Shanaida),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sofiia Pavlyshyn<\/strong> (Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Mariiana Demchuk),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrii Poliuk<\/strong> (Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Mariiana Vasenda).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
