On July 23, a festive event dedicated to Medical Workers\u2019 Day was held at the medical center \u201cProfessor Stefan Khmil Clinic.\u201d<\/em> At the invitation of the clinic’s administration, the Rector of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Mykhailo Korda, participated in the celebration. He congratulated the medical team on their professional holiday and joined the ceremony honoring the clinic\u2019s outstanding doctors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Korda emphasized:
“It is encouraging to see how actively one of our clinical training bases is developing. The Professor Khmil Clinic is not only a highly professional medical center but also a space where a new generation of doctors is being trained. It is through such partnerships that we strengthen the foundation of Ukrainian healthcare.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cProfessor Stefan Khmil Clinic\u201d<\/em> is an official clinical base of TNMU, where students and medical interns undergo practical training in Obstetrics and Gynecology<\/em>. This year, six young doctors completed their internships at the clinic, receiving comprehensive practical training in modern conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The clinic also plays an active role in continuing professional development initiatives for healthcare professionals, conducted with the involvement of TNMU faculty. Over the past year, the clinic hosted five specialized training schools attended by nearly 400 physicians from Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Lviv, and other regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, the updated textbook \u201cObstetrics\u201d<\/em> was presented. It was prepared by a team of TNMU educators: Prof. Dr. Stefan Khmil, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lesia Romanchuk, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mariia Khmil, PhD Assoc. Anna Khmil-Doswald, PhD Assoc. Uliana Franchuk, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zinaida Kuchma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special attention was also given to the joint social project with TNMU \u2014 a program for the cryopreservation of biological material for military personnel, implemented with the support of the international foundation \u201cEye Care for Ukraine\u201d<\/em> (Director \u2014 Brian True). The project aims to preserve the gene pool of Ukraine in response to the war, declining living conditions, health challenges, widespread migration, and the demographic crisis. This initiative exemplifies the effective integration of modern science, medical practice, and responsibility to those defending the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Medical Workers\u2019 Day celebration serves as a vivid example of successful cooperation between educational and clinical institutions. In times of war, uncertainty, and major challenges, it is vital not only to provide quality medical care but also to train professionals who can think broadly, act decisively and professionally, and uphold compassion and humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University will continue to actively strengthen partnerships with medical institutions, support the practical training of young doctors, implement modern medical technologies, and remain true to its primary mission \u2014 protecting human health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
