{"id":171598,"date":"2025-09-23T18:10:43","date_gmt":"2025-09-23T15:10:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/blog\/2025\/09\/23\/naukovtsi-tnmu-uvijshly-v-top-2\/"},"modified":"2025-09-24T10:36:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T07:36:16","slug":"naukovtsi-tnmu-uvijshly-v-top-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/en\/blog\/2025\/09\/23\/naukovtsi-tnmu-uvijshly-v-top-2\/","title":{"rendered":"TNMU Scientists Ranked in the TOP 2%"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">An updated version of the TOP 2% scientists list has been released \u2014 an annual ranking of the most influential (or most cited) researchers in the world, compiled by scholars from Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The ranking includes scientists whose research papers are the most in-demand and relevant to other researchers, as evidenced by a high number of citations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>How the ranking is formed:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-6f8a82\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">It is based on comprehensive scientometric data collected from databases such as <em>Scopus<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">It evaluates citation metrics (the number of references to a researcher\u2019s work) and other indicators reflecting the impact of scientific research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields according to the standard <em>Science-Metrix<\/em> classification. Percentiles are also considered by fields and subfields for all researchers who have at least five publications. Career-long data are updated until the end of 2024, while single-year data reflect citations received during the 2024 calendar year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Selection is based on either the top 100,000 scientists by <em>c-score<\/em> (with and without self-citations) or those in the top 2% by percentile ranking within their subfield.
