Associate Professor of the Department of Higher School Pedagogy and Social Sciences Olha Khrystenko<\/strong> participated in a scientific discussion panel held within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Festival of Contemporary Song and Popular Music \u201cChervona Ruta\u201d<\/em>, which took place in Lviv on September 17\u201322 this year. The event brought together not only singers and artists but also representatives of central and local authorities, the military, educators, scholars, clergy (including military chaplains), business representatives, members of youth organizations, and others to discuss pressing issues of contemporary Ukrainian society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants of the scientific panel worked under the theme \u201cScience of the 21st Century and Spirituality\u201d<\/em>, focusing the audience\u2019s attention on the following issues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the role of science in shaping public opinion on fundamental human existential problems;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the scientific method of cognition as a basis for the formation of spiritual values;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

evolutionary theory and creationism;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

bioethics of personalism as a key methodological foundation for the development strategy of Ukrainian society;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

modern medical technologies and the demographic crisis, national health as a critical factor for future development;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the role of Christian pedagogy in shaping a spiritual personality (philosophical, historical, and practical aspects).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her speech, Associate Professor Olha Khrystenko<\/strong> emphasized the great educational potential of philosophy, history, political science, and other humanities and social sciences in fostering the spiritual values of students. She also shared her own experience of educating morally responsible future professionals by using modern scientific research that reveals lesser-known aspects of the spiritual and intellectual heritage of the Ukrainian people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the panel\u2019s work, participants concluded that scientific discoveries should serve humanity in ensuring the continuation of future generations and promoting a healthy lifestyle across all three dimensions of the human person: spirit, soul, and body. Christian scientific pedagogy, which has deep Ukrainian historical roots, should become the foundation for popularizing scientific achievements in all fields of knowledge and for nurturing the spiritual personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
