On October 1, 2025, Ukraine celebrated the Day of Defenders and Defendresses of Ukraine<\/strong> and the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks<\/strong>. To mark this occasion, a university-wide charity fair<\/strong> was held at various TNMU locations to raise funds in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students of both bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s programs in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy,<\/em> and Therapy and Rehabilitation,<\/em> along with the staff of the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Education, took an active part in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with their group curators, students prepared not only delicious homemade dishes but also handmade crafts<\/strong> \u2014 braided bracelets, live flower compositions, and painted shell casings \u2014 to raise more funds for our brave soldiers who fight daily for our freedom and the possibility to hold such events as a sincere token of gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the joint efforts of the department\u2019s academic staff and students, the charity fair raised 19,450 UAH<\/strong>, which was transferred to the Center for Educational Work and Cultural Development of TNMU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the department\u2019s teachers and students visited soldiers undergoing treatment in one of Ternopil\u2019s hospitals \u2014 specifically, its rehabilitation department<\/strong> \u2014 where they shared homemade treats and presented the defenders with various handmade gifts to mark the holiday. The medical staff and patients warmly thanked the department members and students for their gifts, attention, and heartfelt support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, the faculty of the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Education of TNMU actively engage in charitable and volunteer initiatives<\/strong> and participate in all university events. This year, the department\u2019s academic staff, together with students of their tutorial groups, once again demonstrated their strong civic position by contributing to fundraising efforts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and personally visiting defenders in rehabilitation. The department\u2019s team will continue to support students in all activities aimed at defending our country and bringing Ukraine closer to victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
