Boyarchuk<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Paediatric Diseases with Paediatric Surgery at Ternopil National Medical University, took part in the <strong>CLIPS Consensus Meeting<\/strong> (Conference on Clinical Practice Strategies Consensus), held in <strong>Porto, Portugal<\/strong>, as part of the international project <strong>COST Action CA21168 \u201cImproving Outcomes in Juvenile Idiopathic Inflammatory Rheumatic Diseases through Unified Clinical Practice Strategies.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" <strong>Prof. Michael Hofer (Switzerland)<\/strong>, and the local organizer \u2014 <strong>Mariana Rodrigues (Portugal)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-full brings together scientists, physicians, and clinicians from more than <strong>30 countries<\/strong> working to develop shared approaches to the <strong>diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring<\/strong> of five major groups of paediatric rheumatic diseases:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-ac852f\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis and adult-onset Still\u2019s disease,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">PFAPA\/SURF (periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis, and adenitis\/syndrome of undifferentiated recurrent fever),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">management of lupus nephritis in children,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">management of IgA vasculitis and Kawasaki disease in children,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">biological therapy in the treatment of autoinflammatory diseases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Professor <strong>Oksana Boyarchuk<\/strong> is a member of the <strong>PFAPA\/SURF working group<\/strong>, within which the meeting addressed issues of diagnostic approaches to PFAPA and genetic aspects of the featured presentations from <strong>leading experts and young researchers<\/strong> from across Europe, representing different working groups. Panel discussions and working sessions were also held to determine the next steps in developing <strong>consensus-based clinical practice strategies<\/strong> tailored to the healthcare systems of various countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The international <strong>COST project<\/strong> provides an excellent platform for both <strong>young scientists and experienced experts<\/strong>. Each year, grants are announced for participation in <strong>Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs)<\/strong> held in <strong>Lausanne, Switzerland<\/strong>. During these missions, young researchers, under the supervision of mentors (field experts), analyse data collected by CLIPS over the previous years of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">In addition, <strong>monthly online meetings<\/strong> of the working groups are held to discuss recent findings, plan further research, and review clinical cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Every year, a <strong>Winter School<\/strong> takes place in the <strong>Swiss Alps<\/strong>, dedicated to a specific topic of the project. In <strong>2026<\/strong>, the Winter School will focus on <strong>vasculitides<\/strong>. Online participation is free of charge.
