The implementation of the ERASMUS+ project LifeStrand<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cTraining and Dissemination of Emergency Care Skills for Higher Education Institutions and Communities from Combat Zones in Ukraine and Georgia\u201d<\/em> \u2013 is ongoing and continues to expand its reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September 2025<\/strong>, as part of the project, a series of three training sessions<\/strong> was organized for the staff of the Ternopil Regional Employment Center<\/strong> and its branches. The sessions, held on September 13, 20, and 27<\/strong>, aimed to enhance employees\u2019 readiness to act in emergency situations<\/strong> and to develop practical skills<\/strong> necessary for providing effective assistance to victims before emergency services arrive<\/strong>. A total of 108 participants<\/strong> took part in the training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sessions were conducted by LifeStrand trainers: Olena Nesterenko, Yuliana Skip, Oksana Petryshyn, Nazarii Krulyk, Valentyn Soldatov, Anastasiia Nikulina,<\/strong> and Anna Yehorova<\/strong>. Participants gained knowledge and hands-on experience in basic life support (BLS) for adults<\/strong>, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)<\/strong>, assistance in cases of airway obstruction and loss of consciousness<\/strong>, control of severe bleeding<\/strong>, and first aid for trauma and fracture immobilization<\/strong>. Special attention was given to practicing action algorithms in realistic scenarios<\/strong> that closely mirror possible situations in daily life and professional settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Nazarii Krulyk<\/strong> delivered a lecture at the Ternopil Regional Employment Center<\/strong> on first aid in emergency conditions<\/strong> such as stroke, chest pain, seizures, and anaphylaxis<\/strong>, attended by over 40 participants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The systematic organization<\/strong> of such trainings helps to increase awareness among employees of various institutions<\/strong>, develop teamwork skills<\/strong>, and enable effective responses to threats to human life and health<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
