On October 9\u201310, 2025<\/strong>, the XIII Scientific Symposium with International Participation \u201cImmunopathology in Respiratory and Digestive Diseases\u201d<\/strong> took place at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traditionally, the symposium was organized by the faculty of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care, and Clinical Immunology<\/strong>, together with the Course of Phthisiology of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine and Phthisiology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event opened with welcoming remarks from Ivan Klishch<\/strong>, Vice-Rector for Research at TNMU, and Olha Yarmolenko<\/strong>, Director of the Department of Health of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krzysztof Grzesik<\/strong>, General Director of the Ma\u0142opolska Hospital of Lung Diseases and Rehabilitation named after Edmund Wojtyla (Jaroszowiec, Poland), delivered a presentation titled \u201cZbyt p\u00f3\u017ano rozpoznana gru\u017alica ko\u0144czy si\u0119 zgonem\u201d<\/em> (\u201cTuberculosis Diagnosed Too Late Leads to Death\u201d), in which he discussed complex clinical cases of pulmonary tuberculosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading Ukrainian experts and scientists also gave presentations.
Professor Serhii Zaikov<\/strong>, President of the Ukrainian Association of Allergologists (Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine), presented a report on \u201cFood Allergy and Food Intolerance: A Patient Management Algorithm.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Liliia Todoriko<\/strong> (Bukovinian State Medical University; Kharkiv National Medical University) spoke on \u201cPeculiarities of Pneumonia Course in Pregnant Women under the Influence of COVID-19.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Liudmyla Konopkina<\/strong> (Dnipro State Medical University) conducted an engaging presentation for practicing physicians titled \u201cCough Variant Asthma: How Not to Make a Mistake?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The issue of combating tuberculosis remains relevant both in Ukraine and worldwide. Professor Yurii Valetskyi<\/strong> (Volyn Medical Institute) delivered a presentation on \u201cThe Tuberculosis Situation: From Different Perspectives.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ternopil National Medical University<\/strong> was represented by:
\u2013 Professor Ihor Hospodarskyi<\/strong>, who presented \u201cPatient After Completion of Antiviral Therapy for Hepatitis C: Management of Hepatic and Extrahepatic Complications.\u201d<\/em>
\u2013 Associate Professor Nadiia Reha<\/strong>, who spoke on \u201cModern Approaches to the Therapy of Recurrent Herpes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plenary session also featured a number of other interesting and relevant presentations by scientists from Ukraine and TNMU.
