Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University has significantly strengthened its educational and training facilities by receiving a new, state-of-the-art <strong>AIRWAY MANAGEMENT<\/strong> simulator produced by <strong>Laerdal<\/strong>. This high-quality simulator was provided to the university as part of humanitarian assistance from the <strong>World Health Organization (WHO)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2082-345x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-173020\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2082-345x460.jpg 345w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2082-101x135.jpg 101w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2082-200x267.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2082.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The new manikin is a key tool for practicing a wide range of clinical skills essential in emergency care and anesthesiology. It enables students and interns to master critical procedures, including:<br \/>\u2705 Performing oxygen therapy and airway suctioning;<br \/>\u2705 Manual airway management;<br \/>\u2705 Insertion of nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal airways;<br \/>\u2705 Positive pressure ventilation and placement of supraglottic devices;<br \/>\u2705 Various tracheal intubation techniques, including oral and nasal fiberoptic intubation;<br \/>\u2705 Performing the Sellick maneuver and identifying right mainstem bronchus intubation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2078-345x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-173022\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2078-345x460.jpg 345w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2078-101x135.jpg 101w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2078-200x267.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/img_2078.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">movements (chest rise and fall) and shows <strong>gastric inflation<\/strong> in case of incorrect technique, making the training as close to real clinical conditions as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The introduction of this new simulator greatly enhances the quality of practical training at TNMU, fostering confidence, professionalism, and readiness to act in emergency situations among future medical professionals. The <strong>AIRWAY MANAGEMENT<\/strong> simulator has become an important addition to the university\u2019s educational infrastructure, further strengthening TNMU\u2019s position as a leader in training highly qualified healthcare specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Simulation Training Center of I.
