From October 29 to 31, 2025, the first stage of the THEA Ukraine Lead<\/strong> program took place \u2014 a large-scale initiative aimed at developing leadership and university management in Ukraine, focused on modern European practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September, after successfully passing the competitive selection, Associate Professor Iryna Borovyk<\/strong> of the Department of Therapy and Family Medicine, and a member of the University Center for Teaching Excellence team, joined the program. For further implementation, she prepared a project aimed at developing team interaction, effective communication, and conflict resolution skills<\/strong> among the university\u2019s teaching and administrative staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During three eventful days, there were online meetings with trainers, mentors, and facilitators<\/strong> of the program, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Johanna Henrich<\/strong> (Wandelwerk \u2013 Centre for Quality Assurance and Enhancement, FH M\u00fcnster University of Applied Sciences, Germany \u2013 Project Assistant, THEA Ukraine Lead).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sessions on strategic management<\/strong>, the connection between personality types and leadership styles<\/strong>, the specifics of university work under crisis conditions<\/strong>, effective communication in emergencies<\/strong>, and joint modeling of future scenarios for Ukrainian higher education institutions<\/strong> were extremely engaging and practical. A particularly impressive and inspiring element was the real case study of Sumy State University<\/strong>, which demonstrated successful crisis management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The first meetings also took place with the program mentors \u2014 Kostiantyn Kyrychenko, Kateryna Skyba, and Olena Tupakkhina<\/strong> \u2014 who will support the implementation of the planned projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

There is still much learning, practical work, experience sharing, and co-creation<\/strong> ahead, together with a highly professional and truly inspiring team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
