Students Mastered Emergency Care Skills within the ERASMUS+ Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">A training session on providing emergency care was held in Ternopil as part of the international ERASMUS+ program and the LIFESTRAND project (\u201cTraining and Dissemination of Emergency Care Skills for Higher Education Institutions and Communities in Combat Zones in Ukraine and Georgia\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"346\" height=\"460\" eplus-wrapper\">The event was attended by 204 students of Viktor Hurnyak Ternopil Secondary School No. 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The organization of this training became especially relevant in light of the current security situation, including a recent massive missile attack carried out in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>What the students learned:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">\u2022 they became familiar with the most common and life-threatening emergency conditions;<br \/>\u2022 they practiced stopping critical bleeding through wound packing and applying a tourniquet;<br \/>\u2022 they mastered the algorithm of basic life support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Such trainings help cultivate a culture of safety and readiness to act in emergency situations \u2014 something that is especially important today for every student and adult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The LIFESTRAND project continues to strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian communities and educational institutions in the field of emergency preparedness
