Trushchenkova and Yu. <span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">Petrashyk and O. Lytvynova attended <span style=\"margin: 0px;padding: 0px\">the\u00a0<strong>Progressive Educators Summit 2025<\/strong>, a major national event\u00a0<\/span>held at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv.<\/span> The event, organized by the NGO \u201cProgressive,\u201d served as a platform for strategic dialogue, bringing together educators from across the country, rectors of leading higher education institutions, and representatives of government and civil society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"410\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image001-14-410x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-175716\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image001-14-410x460.jpg 410w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image001-14-120x135.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image001-14-768x862.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image001-14-1369x1536.jpg 1369w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image001-14-200x224.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image001-14.jpg 1426w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 410px) 100vw, 410px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The Summit became a venue for open discussion on bridging the gap between expectations and reality in Ukrainian education. Participants focused on the quality of the educational process, inclusion, academic integrity, and dignity in the teaching profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The importance of the event was underscored by the participation of key figures responsible for shaping national educational policy. Among the attendees were:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-762b3d\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Oleh Sharov<\/strong>, Director General of the Directorate of Professional Pre-Higher and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, who outlined the strategic vectors for sector development in 2025;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Representatives of the <strong>National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA)<\/strong>, whose presence highlighted the priority of quality assurance and academic integrity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Rectors of leading higher education institutions, including heads of universities that officially joined the \u201cProgressive\u201d community during the event (European University, Ukrainian State Flight Academy, among others).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image003-13-690x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-175718\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image003-13-690x460.jpg 690w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image003-13-203x135.jpg 203w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image003-13-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image003-13-200x133.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image003-13.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Such high-level participation allowed attendees not only to discuss current challenges but also to receive first-hand information about legislative initiatives and future plans of the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The summit program included several professional panels, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-37e6db\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Public discussion <strong>\u201cPROeducation 2025: Ways to Overcome Educational Gaps\u201d<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Presentation of achievements in advocating for educators\u2019 rights;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Open microphone session <strong>\u201cVoices of Education,\u201d<\/strong> where participants shared experiences of responding to crisis situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Special attention was devoted to the social mission of education \u2014 supporting veterans, particularly issues related to the rehabilitation of individuals with visual impairments, which is highly relevant in the context of present-day challenges.\u0438\u043a\u043b\u0438\u043a\u0456\u0432.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">One of the key outcomes of the visit was the establishment of potential pathways for future cooperation with <strong>Kateryna Narovska<\/strong>, President of the National Association of Mediators of Ukraine. During a working meeting, agreements were reached on integrating mediation practices into our university\u2019s educational process. For medical students, mastering mediation skills is an essential competency due to the specifics of clinical practice, which requires:<\/p>\n\n\n<ol class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-5c02fc\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Effective conflict resolution:<\/strong> the ability to address misunderstandings in doctor\u2013patient and colleague-to-colleague interactions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Deontological resilience:<\/strong> preventing professional burnout through constructive communication;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><strong>Clinical reasoning:<\/strong> mediation-based approaches foster empathy and impartiality \u2014 core elements of patient-centered care.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Inspired by colleagues from other institutions, our university representatives initiated the process of preparing a future memorandum of cooperation with the NGO \u201cProgressive.\u201d The goal is to establish within our university a hub of innovative educational practices \u2014 a so-called <strong>\u201cProgressiveness Island\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 that will enable us to integrate into the national network of educational innovators, strengthen project-based activities, and open new opportunities for the professional development of both faculty and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"544\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image005-9-544x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-175720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image005-9-544x460.jpg 544w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image005-9-160x135.jpg 160w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image005-9-768x649.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image005-9-1536x1298.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image005-9-200x169.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/image005-9.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 544px) 100vw, 544px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">We extend our gratitude to the organizers, the NGO \u201cProgressive,\u201d and to the event partners, including the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES UA), for creating a meaningful space for professional dialogue and consolidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Participation in such events demonstrates our university\u2019s commitment not only to adapting to the demands of the time but also to actively shaping the future quality of education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On December 6, 2025, representatives of the academic staff at our university \u2014 Associate Professors L.
