Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, the introduction and further development of the innovative educational course <strong>\u201cArtificial Intelligence in Medicine. Telemedicine\u201d<\/strong> is underway for the first time among medical higher education institutions in Ukraine. The course was initiated by <strong>Professor Dmytro Vakulenko<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Medical Informatics, and <strong>Associate Professor Andrii Hospodarskyi<\/strong>, PhD in Medicine, of the Department of General Surgery, with the support of <strong>Arkadii Shulhai<\/strong>, Vice-Rector for Science and Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\" wp-block-image size-large eplus-wrapper\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"345\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img_20250923_133924_406-345x460.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-178422\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img_20250923_133924_406-345x460.jpg 345w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img_20250923_133924_406-101x135.jpg 101w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img_20250923_133924_406-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img_20250923_133924_406-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img_20250923_133924_406-1536x2048.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img_20250923_133924_406-200x267.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.tdmu.edu.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img_20250923_133924_406.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 345px) 100vw, 345px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The course is designed for fifth-year medical students and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Nursing. Its aim is to develop competencies in modern digital technologies that are actively being integrated into the healthcare system. Special attention is paid to the application of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, forecasting, personalized medicine, and remote patient monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Students highly appreciated the content and relevance of the course, noting:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\" wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-f008d7\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">the accessibility of teaching complex technical topics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">an interactive learning format, including simulations, work with virtual patients, analysis of medical images, video analysis of posture, joint mobility, and gait;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">the use of modern devices such as ECG machines, infrared cameras, blood pressure monitors, and tablets;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">the integration of theoretical knowledge with real clinical cases;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">consideration of ethical and legal aspects of using AI in medicine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">According to the students, the course not only broadened their professional horizons but also motivated them to further develop in the field of medical innovations. Particularly valuable was the recognition of digital literacy as an integral component of modern medical practice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At I.
