On February 16, 2026, a master class titled \u201cStopping Critical Bleeding: From Theory to Practice\u201d was held in the administrative building of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. The event brought together more than 100 participants, including students and staff of TNMU, TNPU, and TNTU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was organized by representatives of the TNMU donor community \u201cRedLine,\u201d the Simulation Training Center, the Student Parliament, and the Student Scientific Society, including Nazarii Krulyk (MM-619), Alina Fariion (MM-415), Olena Bartish (MM-213), Bohdan Sakhniuk (MM-415), Maksym Klemyshyn (MM-403), Viktoriia Miroshnyk (MM-601), Oleksandr Mihenko (MM-504), and Sofiia Berehuliak (MM-513). The event was held with the support of the TNMU administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the master class, participants learned action algorithms for critical bleeding situations and practiced techniques such as applying tourniquets, applying pressure dressings, and packing wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special attention was given to analyzing common mistakes and widespread myths about providing first aid, which can cost lives. The development of practical skills among young people contributes to increasing awareness, readiness to act in critical situations, and fostering a culture of responsibility for safety and human life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such educational initiatives once again demonstrate the active civic position of the student community and its commitment to improving professional competencies already today. In addition, the organizers emphasized the importance of blood donation, as assistance at the hospital stage is equally crucial for saving lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
