On February 16, 2026, a meeting of the \u043a\u043e\u043d\u043a\u0443\u0440\u0441\u043d\u043e\u0457 \u043a\u043e\u043c\u0456\u0441\u0456\u0457 of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was held, during which the names of the winners of the named scholarships were announced. These initiatives, launched at the end of 2025 by distinguished alumni and partners of the University, have become a strong incentive for the development of the student community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, support for young professionals is provided in three main areas, each with its own unique mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Professor Stefan Khmil Scholarship is aimed at social support and fostering further academic excellence. Its purpose is to assist talented students who demonstrate high academic performance but find themselves in difficult financial circumstances. By decision of the commission, the scholarship recipients are Ruslana Khrustavka, Alona Haichenko, Myroslav Fedorovych, and Sofiia Melnyk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renowned surgeon and TNMU graduate Rostyslav Valikhnovskyi established a foundation to support future doctors whose parents gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine. The first scholarship recipient under this initiative is Kateryna Valko (Faculty of Dentistry).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ihor Khoruzhyi, founder of the \u201cLORIMED\u201d clinic network and also a TNMU graduate, introduced a special award for students of the Medical Faculty \u2014 the \u201cFor a Dream\u201d scholarship. To participate, candidates prepared essays describing their professional dreams for which they lacked financial resources. The winners, whose ideas impressed the commission, are Daryna Afanasieva and Oleksandr Melnychuk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such initiatives by our alumni are not only financial support. They are a sign that the medical community stands united, and that the diligence and dreams of our students have real backing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
