On March 2, 2026, Donna MacLean, Master of Nursing and PhD, paid a working visit to I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. She represented Misericordia Hospital, part of the Covenant Health network, and the Faculty of Nursing at MacEwan University (Canada). She is also a member of Canada\u2019s committee developing blood pressure measurement guidelines and of the humanitarian committee of the Ukrainian Women\u2019s Organization of Canada (Cobblestone Freeway Branch, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The guest met with the Rector of TNMU, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi, and heads of relevant university departments to discuss possible areas of cooperation. The discussion focused on joint research projects, partnerships in developing professional initiatives, exchange of experience, conducting collaborative research, preparing research proposals, and opportunities for clinical internships in Canada for Nursing students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donna MacLean proposed establishing closer cooperation in researching blood pressure issues and preventing related diseases, as well as sharing her experience in integrating theoretical nursing education with practical training. In addition, representatives of TNMU raised the issue of opportunities for training and professional exchange for psychologists and psychiatrists in working with patients suffering from PTSD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology, Liudmyla Mazur, and Associate Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, No. 2, Nataliia Petrenko, organized a visit for Donna MacLean to the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing and the university\u2019s Simulation Training Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arsen Hudyma and Antonina Chervatiuk delivered a detailed presentation on the Simulation Training Center’s capabilities. Faculty members of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care, and Clinical Immunology also introduced the guest to the learning conditions and training environment for Nursing students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
