On the occasion of the 155th anniversary of the birth of Lesya Ukrainka, a poetry evening was held with the participation of 2nd- and 4th-year medical students, members of the poetry section of the TNMU Creative Collective, and participants of the \u201cArt-Drama\u201d theatre studio. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Students recited their favorite poems written by the poetess, shared their impressions and admiration, and even recalled childhood memories connected with the works of the outstanding Ukrainian writer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special highlight of the event was the recitation of Lesya Ukrainka\u2019s prose poem \u201cYour Letters Always Smell of Withered Roses\u201d<\/em> performed by Oksana Dydyk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language and literary scholar Marta Rudenko \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u043b\u043e\u0436\u0438\u043b\u0430 a discussion on understanding the modern image of Lesya Ukrainka through the prism of mass culture and the fashion industry within the context of feminism. The topic greatly interested the participants, as today the role of women in art and science, as well as their right to self-expression in social life, has been significantly reinterpreted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
