Second-year medical students of group MM-203, together with Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages Nataliia Hantimurova, visited a shelter of the Ternopil charitable foundation \u201cCaritas,\u201d located in the village of Petrykiv. Currently, eight elderly internally displaced persons live there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, a staff member of the shelter, Ms. Oksana, guided the guests on a tour, introducing them to the residents\u2019 living conditions and speaking about their everyday life and leisure activities. The students listened with great interest and sincerely admired the atmosphere of care and support that prevails in the shelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the tour, in a warm and friendly atmosphere\u2014over a cup of tea and sweets\u2014the medical students had the opportunity to talk with the shelter\u2019s residents. They spoke about life before the full-scale invasion, shared memories, and listened to life stories filled with the pain of loss but also with dignity, wisdom, and incredible resilience. These conversations became a true lesson in humanity, empathy, and mutual support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All participants spent their time together sincerely and meaningfully. Such visits not only bring positive emotions but also help cultivate empathy, social responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the value of human life among future doctors\u2014qualities that are extremely important in their professional training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
