On March 11, 2026, the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Education of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU)<\/strong> hosted the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad for the 2025\u20132026 academic year<\/strong> in the discipline \u201cExamination, Methods of Assessment and Control in Musculoskeletal Disorders.\u201d<\/em> The participants of the Olympiad were bachelor\u2019s students of the \u201cTherapy and Rehabilitation\u201d<\/strong> specialty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury included associate professors of the department, Uliana Hevko, Valentyna Boiko, Anastasiia Bai<\/strong>, and teaching assistant Andrii Havrylenko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event began with a minute of silence<\/strong> in memory of the Heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine’s peace and independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 14 third-year students<\/strong> took part in the Olympiad. The competition became not only a test of knowledge but also an opportunity for future specialists to demonstrate their intellectual potential across the theoretical and practical aspects of a physical therapist’s professional activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Olympiad consisted of two stages<\/strong>.
The first stage (theoretical)<\/strong> consisted of completing\u00a048 test questions<\/strong>\u00a0on<\/span> the discipline.

The second stage (practical)<\/strong> involved demonstrating practical skills in the pre-clinical practice laboratory<\/strong>, which is equipped with the necessary rehabilitation equipment and located at the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury evaluated the participants\u2019 performance across both stages and selected the students who demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and professional competence in physical therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maksym Shtyrkalo (TR-303)<\/strong> \u2013 1st place<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dariia Shkrobot (TR-301)<\/strong> and Uliana Stankevych (TR-302)<\/strong> \u2013 2nd place<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nazar Bodnar (TR-303)<\/strong> \u2013 prize-winner<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winners were congratulated by the department’s academic coordinator, Associate Professor Uliana Hevko<\/strong>, who wished them<\/span> inspiration and success on their path to achieving their chosen profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students who achieved the highest scores in the competition were awarded honorary diplomas and valuable prizes<\/strong>, serving as motivation for further acquisition of knowledge and professional skills in the specialty \u201cTherapy and Rehabilitation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Olympiad became not only an important event for evaluating and recognizing talented students but also an excellent opportunity to stimulate their professional development and growth<\/strong>. The valuable experience gained through participation contributes to strengthening the intellectual potential of student youth and promoting high academic and professional standards in the training of future physical therapists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
