Presentations covered epidemiological trends, interdisciplinary collaboration, digital technologies, molecular research, and translational medicine. Particular attention was paid to changes in disease epidemiology influenced by dietary habits, alcohol policy, and socio-economic factors. Experts also discussed the concept of a disease-promoting environment and the potential of public health strategies and regulatory policies to alter the disease’s trajectory.

A separate session addressed the distribution of responsibilities among healthcare professionals at different stages of patient management for SLD. Topics included liver fibrosis assessment, cardiovascular risk stratification, screening for progressive chronic liver diseases, and the organization of addiction treatment. Speakers emphasized the need for clearly defined roles and stronger interdisciplinary collaboration.

Significant attention was also devoted to the digital transformation of medicine. Presentations explored the use of large datasets, deep-learning algorithms, and artificial intelligence–based imaging systems. Participants discussed the potential of machine learning tools for diagnosing and monitoring disease progression, as well as the challenges of regulatory approval and integration into clinical practice.

As part of the summit, and in order to enhance professional expertise and exchange experience regarding the diagnosis, counseling, and management of MASLD during pregnancy, Lina Bahnii presented an e-poster titled “The Influence of Coagulation Homeostasis Disorders on the Development of Obstetric Complications in Pregnant Women with Metabolically Associated Steatohepatitis and Dyslipidemia.” The presentation highlighted the results of her own scientific research. The presented data demonstrated the strong translational potential of contemporary research.

The plenary session highlighted the multisystem nature of SLD. Discussions included metabolomic modeling of inter-organ interactions, immunological mechanisms in metabolic forms of the disease, genetic factors influencing extrahepatic manifestations, and the role of the gut barrier and the gut–brain axis in alcohol-related liver disease.

The summit served as an important platform for exploring current challenges in the field, understanding the pathogenetic mechanisms of steatotic liver disease, studying biomarkers and treatment models, and learning about the latest therapeutic developments. It also provided insights into the future of multidisciplinary treatment approaches based on clinical case analysis.

From February 26 to 28, 2026, Lina Bahnii, Assistant at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 2 of I.
